The Juliénas is one of the 10 Beaujolais crus. Its name would be derived from Julius Caesar, its hillsides already planted with vines in Gallo-Roman times.
Colour:A bright, deep ruby.
Nose:Elegant scents of red fruits embellished with spicy notes.
Taste:Rich and tannic, whilst silky and balanced.
Food-wine pairings:Delicious on a pepper-smoked duck breast, caramel pork or tarragon flank steak.
Ageing: 1 to 5 years
Serve between: 13 and 15°C
