This communal appellation, covering 52 hectares of the Mâconnais vineyards was delimited in 1931 and recognised in 1940. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone with a ferruginous colour.
Colour:Intense pale gold with golden reflections.
Nose:Intense with fruity notes (citrus, peach and pear) and white flowers (acacia and lime).
Taste:Powerful and fleshy; this wine presents a very nice balance due to its aromatic finesse and roundness.
Food-wine pairings:Goes very well with pan-fried seafood dishes. From 3 to 5 years of bottles, it highlights poultry fillets with morels and white meats. On the cheese side, a good marriage with our dry goat cheeses.
